The Willie and Betty Farrior Family Scholarship Fund
A life-changing initiative dedicated to breaking financial barriers and empowering students from underserved communities to pursue higher education. This scholarship provides critical financial assistance to high school seniors, ensuring they have the resources needed to transition successfully into college without the burden of economic hardship.
What the Scholarship Can Cover:✔ Books & Supplies – Ensuring students have the materials needed to excel.✔ Living & Transportation Support – Providing resources for students facing housing or commuting challenges.✔ Pre-College Readiness – Guidance on admissions, financial aid, and adjusting to campus life.
Who Can Apply? The scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors in Talladega, Alabama, and surrounding areas, with a focus on students from historically underserved backgrounds, including those from low-income households and students with disabilities. Recipients become part of a support network that includes mentorship, career guidance, and access to additional resources that set them up for long-term success. The fund honors the legacy of Willie A. Farrior, whose resilience and innovation continue to inspire new generations.
